if you want the real abercrombie look, take a rock and rub whatever part of your jeans you want destroyed on it. Do this until the jeans start to look frayed. Then, GENTLY rip the jeans. the hole shouldn't be too big. Loosely mend the hole on the inside of the pants, then rub GENTLY on the rock again. It really works and stays pretty durable like store-bought jeans
Never use scissors!!! you get a clean cut which completely destroys the jeans when you wash them, and it looks horrible anyway.
For a bleached look, just randomly drop drips of bleach on the pants. if you want the jeans to look worn through mud, use brown fabric paint instead of real mud.

If you really wanna make destroyed jeans, I suggest ripping the pants at lower places like the knee or ankle.

get some plain denim jeans, for those cool rips sand paper them for about five minutes in designated spot. if you want the "washed out" look pore a little bleach on the spot where you want it, if you don't want it to splatter use a wash cloth to rub it around. if you just want plain rips just cut it w/e scissors. also you could take a razor and shave your jeans. good luck!

do what i do. buy a pair that's not ripped to hell, wear them, here's the tricky part, do stuff in them, work on the car, play football, build a house, whatever works for ya. that usually destroys my jeans pretty well. of course then i throw them out and buy new ones, but that's just me.

Scissors, mud, bleach, exacto-knife, maybe a blow torch or hot iron.
Go to town, just make sure you don't destroy them too much, you won't be able to wear them.
BTW: Destroyed jeans are the stupidest expression of American vanity and wastefulness ever seen on this planet
Have fun!

Drag them behind your car around the block a few times....
also rub them with sand paper in the areas you want to destress.

It's very simple. You get sand paper and rub it on the section you want destroyed!

wear them in ALOT. it makes it a little comfortable. use a knife to make holes and razor blades to cause a destressed look. if you want splattered pants then take white paint and a paint brush and scatter it all around. wash them as needed.
