i need to know how to graph it too. okay
y=Axto the 2power, and y=a(x-h) to the 2power. okay find the line of symmetry and the vertex.
examples: y=2xto the 2 power, y= -3xto the 2 power also, f(x)=1/4xto the 2power and f(x)=2(x-3) to the 2power

f(x)= -(x+4) to 2 power

EX x^2 +2x -3 =y

First derivative dy/dx = 2x +2 root of this deivative x = -1

Ce curve is infinite for x = -infinite decreses to x= -1 witn a vlue of minimum y =-4 and increases to x = +infinite

The roots of the eaquation are x = 1 and x = -3 for these values
y =0

Parabolas are usually represented by the equation y=x^2 (x squared). It is a conic section, meaning that it you sliced a solid cone, the cross section would be a cone.
