Okay I am 39 weeks and I woke up this morning with a lot more pressure in my pelvis. My baby has been moving more than normal and throughout the day I feel a lot of pressure down there, that comes and goes. During my hole pregnancy I have had really hard stool, but it is getting softer. Yesterday evening when I went to the toilet I think I saw part of my mucus plug (sorry a little much info). I have also been experiencing BH throughout the day. So far I have had no menstrual like cramps or backache. Has any of you experienced anything like this and gone into labor shortly, or is it just my wishful thinking? thanks for answering

My labor was similar. I lost my mucus plug on a Friday and had my son on Saturday night. At first I felt mostly just pressure, then later in the day it turned to more of a cramp type feeling. I'd definitely stay close to home today if I were you and just take it easy and see what happens. Labor is different for everyone. Good luck!.......and remember to breathe!!! =)

By the abbreviation BH do you mean Braxton Hicks contractions?
My labors progressed all the way to 9.5 dialation with out any pain and with barely noticeble twinges. Start timing your periods of discomfort and that feeling of pressure while your hand is on your abdomen, if there is any regularness to the timing on them or if your tummy raises a little in the center, then you most likely are in labor. Your mucus plug usually presents as a slimy deposit with some pink tinge to it.And if in doubt go to the ER you are close enough to time that even if you aren't in labor, you are better off being cautious.

Sounds like you may be getting close! The pressure you are feeling is probably from the baby dropping. Just take it easy and try to keep track of what you are feeling. If your water breaks or you start to have contractions that are regular in timing, than go to the hospital. With contractions, you will feel your abdomen tighten and probably a dull aching in your back and maybe your upper legs.
Remember, just because you lost your mucous plug, it can still be a while before you actually go into labor.

Good luck and Congratulations!!

Everyones pre-labor is different. If you are worried, go to your doctor.
However, with my three labors, it was very obvious I was having contractions and they were at regular intervals. My children did not move around very much in the last week or so before they were born, they settled low and quietly.
For me, the contractions were nothing like menstrual cramps, but I could feel the tightening in my abdomen for a few hours before they became painful. Hang in there, you'll have your beautiful baby soon :) If you are unsure of anything call your doctor.

The discharge is not always amniotic fluid, however whether it is popping out in intermittent gushes while you think your belly harden it frequently is. Either method this can be a signal of drawing close exertions, and on account that you are not some distance ample alongside to be definite your child's lungs are built. I could absolutely get in your general practitioner or sanatorium now so they may be able to attempt to quit exertions for 3 extra weeks. But it can be too overdue, simply move now!

I had the same thing with all four of my pregnancies. Labor did begin shortly after. Don't get your hopes up though every labor and delivery is different. Your body will tell you what it wants(most of the time) all you need to do is relax and enjoy the miracle of life.Good luck and best wishes.

Sounds like your baby may have dropped. If you're ever in doubt, call your doc and explain to them what's going on. Good Luck!
