Keep soda crackers by your bedside so they will be quickly available in the morning when you wake up to allay that awful morning sickness.
Side-lying with a pillow between your legs is a good way to sleep during your later months.
Raspberry tea is good to drink. It is supposed to prepare your uterus to have good, effective contractions when you are ready to deliver.
Have an ice cream sundae after your doctor visit!!
Happy baby!

CONGRATS!! What a wonderful experience! Get out and walk -- preferably with your partner. It is excellent exercise, plus the three of you will have this experience that you can carry on after the baby is born as well. And start on prenatal vitamins. They are available over the counter. An absolute necessity. Find yourself a nice little hobby. For instance if you've never knitted before, start learning. There will be moments during your pregnancy where you'll feel anxious, stressed or upset. Trying to force yourself out of the funk is completely useless. But if you make yourself stop and pick up your hobby for a few minutes, it will distract you and help you refocus. It's best if the hobby is just a little challenging -- you can actually re-channel unnecessary stress or anxiety without even realizing it.

First of all congrats!!! I'm a first time mom too. Most doctors will go over everything you just asked on your first visit. Don't stress out about being super healthy though, whatever the baby needs it basically takes from your body. I am at 25 weeks, have hyperemesis gravidarum, have lost 13 lbs, and my little boy is doing great! Sleeping on your back is the worst position because it puts the most weight on the vena cava (main vein.) Sleeping on your left is best, but I find myself being more comfortable on my right which is okay too. I suggest taking 2 Flintstones vitamins with iron a day (prenatal vitamins can cause nausea.) Also, make out a list of all of the things you want to ask your doctor. I always think of things to ask but forget when I actually get there!

Congrats. Sleep how you feel comfotable, just not on yur tummy. Eat healthy, and drink lots of juice and milk and water. There is this drink called "Expecta" its really nutricious for before, during and after pregnancy. Walk a little every day, this will help with the labor. Yoga also helps with relaxing and toning muscles. If you plan to do yoga besure its for expectant mothers, most positions with regular yoga are not good for pregnancies. If your naseaus, eat lots of small meals throughout the day, room tempature gingerale, and dry toast or crackers.

First off go to the doctor. Second when you are there have questions ready. This was a tip to me. It helps when you want to ask something and are confused how to get the question out or helps if you are forgetful. Third Congrats on the baby
