Well, everyone else can do as they like, but I'll just keep on working since I have little time for the Royal family and their privileges. But then I have no choice since I'm a police officer and we have to provide a service 24/7/365.

Presumably radio stations will, after the announcement, change to sombre music; television stations like will quickly change to news broadcasts and then file videos of the "long reign".

Seems to me the normal period of mourning would be 30 days (I am uncertain of that length);

No, not an immediate stop of work, school, etc. It is as the old saying: "The King is dead; long live the King" ... the Sovereign may die, the Monarchy does not. Of course signs of mourning would soon appear; and for many (? most ?) work and school though would carry on yet would not carry on AS NORMAL.

They probably would want to replace the queen with her daughter because years and years before Queen Elizabeth III, those queens have been replaced by their daughters for years. So that's probably what happens when the queen dies and the community should still be running on as usual.

When the King died places did close as national day of mourning and the same with the day of his funeral. It should be the same for the Queen although there is so little respect nowadays who knows xx

"If"? Her Britannic Majesty may be a marvel in our eyes, but She is not immortal! When Her Majesty's days are over as Head of State, it is only fitting that the appropriate mourning is observed by the nation.. What do you do when someone in your own family dies, carry on as normal?

Everything will be normal probably. There will probably be a royal walk through for the funeral and everyone will watch.
