Not sure this counts as a horror flick but it was Polterguiest. I'm 31 and I've never seen a Freddy or Jason movie...I am not a fan of horror.
Silence of the lambs---that may be a little closer to Horror.... the birds, the exorcist (I saw the retouched version--I thought it was stupid. Hubby kept saying if I saw it when I was 8 I would have been scared)
Gosh, guess I never really saw a True Horror Movie.

The Birds----I was young . The next day I had to go outside to play and the birds were all lined up on the telephone lines just like in the movie . I was terrified and still to this day when I see birds on wires all lined in a row I think of that movie. Though the movie is now a favorite of mine.

Horror at the Wax Museum, I was just a small kid and my brothers were babysitting me and tricked me into watching it. It backfired because I was scared all night and kept waking them! I love horror flicks now, not the slasher ones but the spooky or suspenseful type.
