There are some really great Disney movies! I enjoyed The Princess and the Frog. Babe (the one about the pig) is cute. Stuart Little will keep adults and kids entertained. She gets the cartoon mouse and talking critters, you get the real humans. The Wizard of Oz is always a classic. I love Finding Nemo and Shrek, cartoon or not. There is adult humor. Ratatouille was perfect, as was The Incredibles. She might like the new Where the Wild Things Are. There's the old standby of Mary Poppins. The old or new Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory could do the trick! She might also like Ella Enchanted with Anne Hathaway. The Parent Trap (Lindsay Lohan version) is cute, too.

i luv the old freaky friday.. divine secrets of the ya-ya sisterhood. the princess diaries is a good mom-daughter movie, although it's not 100% about the mom-daughter relationship.. more like the grandma-grandaughter relationship.. One of my absolute FAVORITE movies that is so much about the mother-daughter relationship is The Joy Luck Club.. it's not a comedy, but it's a wonderful movie, very touching, and also a great book. Another old movie I love, with Lucille Ball, is Yours Mine and Ours. It's wonderful. Terms of Endearment is great, but a really serious tearjerker.

If you want a comedy, Freaky Friday is cute. If you want a sad drama White Oleander is a beautiful movie. It's full of brutal truths and harsh realizations. It's one of my favourite movies.
