they cost about £150 over here, and are games bought in America compatable with psp from Britain

Looking at about $250 over here. Just slightly cheaper over here if my conversions are right. This is because the US buys so many more than anywhere else in the world. Yes, the games are compatible, just not the charger.

Importing a US PSP is an option but you will pay VAT at 17.5% and import duty, which could be 4-6%, and of course delivery isn't free, so while on paper the US one is cheaper, it will probably work out about the same.

Plus if anything goes wrong it will be hard to return.

US PSP games will work on a UK PSP, only the movies are region locked.

Its not cheaper in the u.s.a it works out about the same. and the games are not compatible

Nothing is ever cheaper in the UK.

if i was you id just buy it off ebay. my brother brought his for free when he got a mobile phone contract (and it was a white one)
