Actually the reality is the Alllied Powers (especially the USA)
helped rebuild these nations. I think the reparations (war damages)
that the Axis Powers was largely forgiven, or otherwise, these nations would be still in debt for a significant amount of money, if
you factor in the cost of interest over the years. Italy actually joined the Allies against Germany by 1943, when the Allies invaded. Italy got loans under the Marshall Plan, joined NATO, and became a support of the European Union, with strong support from the USA.

In Greece there is a big discussion about this issue because Germany hasn't paid the amount of money they should to the Greek Government according to the decisions of the Nirenberg trial. More specifically the German government must compensate the people of the Greek villages Distomo and Kalavryta for the massacres commited by the German Army in 1943. The German government still owes that money so I guess that the same thing is going on in other countries as well

I believe reparations were done differently than after WWI... given that the reparations forced on Germany in the 1920's were a MAJOR cause for it's move to Hitler and National Socialism.
In fact, through the Marshall Plan, the United States SPENT a large amount of money to help rebuild Germany... as a bulwark against the advance of Soviet / Communist encroachment.
Most of the reparations required of Germany (to the major allies) were taken in form of intellectual property, labor, and factories.
Here is a link describing Post WWII Europe and reparations to minor allies or conquered nations: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_Aftermath
I couldn't find specific data on Japan, but here is a link to the instrument of surrender... which does NOT mention reparations: http://www.japan-101.com/history/japanese_instrument_of_surrender.htm

Eratkos 7 is right about Greece since Germany owns a very big amount of money, but always asks us not to make a very big noise since we are allied now But Greece as a county never resigned of those demands
