How much of a difference is .1 of a second in a 40-yard dash??

For instance, a guy runs a 4.3 and another guy runs a 4.4.
How much of a distance will be between them when they finish the 40 yards??

40 yards = 120 feet = 1,440 inches
1,440 inches / 4.3 seconds = 335 inches per second (approx.)
1,440 inches / 4.4 seconds = 327 inches per second (approx.)
So I would say that it is approximately 8 inches in difference between the two runners.
