No Clue but my new favorite thing to do to my 13 yr old is to sing stupid songs from Noggin to her as she's getting out of the van for school. Ex: Her bus number is '64' and there's this song that goes '64, 64, 64 Zoo Lane...' She tells me she starts hearing it in her head during school just randomly during the day. FUNNY FUNNY

Repetition sometimes works, but what's more effective is to understand it, accept it, or make some sort of association. Pneumonic devices are one way to make an association. Acronyms, jingles, songs, stories, rhymes, pictures, symbols, and synonyms are other ways to remember things.

I don't know but I just read that it takes 21 days of doing something for it to become a habit. Does that help?

I heard once that it takes 3 times of repetition to lock something in your mind.
