garter snake. They are pretty small and eat crickets. Great for beginners

The first snake my family got was a "striped albino California king" She is really good, they don't get to big, and for a first snake or even a beginner would be OK. They wouldn't be to much to handle.

a garden snake not nothing big, like a ratter or a python. i would go for a garden snake u should also ask the petshop person b4 u go and buy one.
