Some kids who are around 14 (my age) listen to rap, pop or punk any genre really, pending on preference, but there is some kids who like music from like the 60s-80s, like acdc and queen etc.

i know in my middle school its mostly rap &hip hop and stuff like

and the all time favorite of the 7th garders last year?

ect
but i have noticed in 8th grade more people choosing more independant songs... not choosing what everyone else chooses.
so as they get older i would say it depends on the person

absolutely not.
i have siblings ages 5-11 and they all HATE cheesy stuff like that.
the 5 year old doesnt really even care about music yet

Well, I got to middle school and we listen to ANYTHING Lil Jon, Jibbs, Wiers Al, Yung Joc, MOSTLY RAP. But slow songs are songs like Unfaithfu, Too Little, Too Late and things like that

From what I have seen, bubble gum crap...errrrrr pop. sure a change from when I was a kid, at that age I was listening to hard rock and the beginnings of metal.

my daughter is a little over 14 now, but she has the dead, csny, neil young, janis joplin, three dog night, bad company, hendrix, and a few others on her play list.
