Purrr-fect business concept!
You could create several styles (since cats are finicky) and put them all in a 'cat-alogue'.
Actually you could create a GPS collar system. That way owners could tell exactly where their cats were 'catting around'.

Sadly it comes down to money. Declawing is a very lucrative business and too many unethical vets are happy to ignore the "no harm" part of their oath in favour of their bank accounts. Even though AVMA guidelines clearly state that declawing should be a last resort after all other alternatives have been tried, that is not what is happening. Far too many vets are cashing in by offering spaying/neutering and declawing packages on kittens who are so young they've obviously never been given a chance to use a scratch post. Those vets have their conscience soothed by selfish people who simply can't be bothered to teach their cat claw manners when it's so much easier for them to get the cat declawed. That perpetuates the supply and demand cycle. To be honest I'd never even heard of this procedure before I joined Y/A and was shocked when I discovered it meant amputating the end of the the cat's toes. Here in the UK vets have never declawed. Instead they've always preferred to offer behavioural advice on teaching cat's claw manners. People simply accept that cats come with claws and if you can't handle that fact you don't get one. I'd like to see declawing made illegal everywhere. We're meant to protect our pets from unnecessary harm and suffering - not pay unscrupulous vets to inflict it upon them.

Cats don't tend to like a lot of stuff attached to them. Don't worry in any case, there are a lot of excess cats in the world so if your kitty disappears it is easy enough to find a replacement.

close.....but take it a bit farther.....
small pin hole camera on bottom of cat collar.....when you dial the collar it turns the camera on....now you see streaming video of your cats line of sight and its surroundings. in turn knowing its location.
could even put gps locator in the collar as well (instead of implant type) and locate the cat by gps map again on the same cell phone.
think outside the box

I think that you need to get out more...perhaps talk with people vs cats more frequently...but keep those ideas coming...you are bound to hit one yet!
