Do you know any good books that explain AIC (Akaike Information Criterion)?

I'm trying to make sure I'm doing this right. I know there are techinical journals out there, but some of that is over my head. I do have a graduate level regression textbook already, but I would prefer a book that can explain things to me in simpler language. Thanks.
