You can't just load a regular DVD onto your iPod sadly, for a couple of reasons: 1) Those DVDs are copy protected and are a pain to copy, and 2) because it's not in the right format. The iPod Video is really picky about which formats of video can be played on it, and basically the only one you'll find that works is .mp4 (there is also .mpeg, .avi, etc). If you want to put good videos on your iPod, I reccomend dowloading the program BitTorrent (www.bittorrent.com). BitTorrent is a program that allows you to share files, and download "torrents" which are entire folders of music, video, or programs. You can search for torrents on the internet, and then open them in BitTorrent, and it will begin downloading them. Kinda complex, I know, but it's the best way to get videos for your iPod. My favorite sites to use are www.podtropolis.com and www.isohunt.com. This can get confusing, so you can email me at bamboo.boogie.boots@gmail.com if you have more questions, and I can explain in detail.
