What may be considered 'normal' by one person may not be considered normal by someone else. I don't think that certain types of people are normal whereas others are not - everyone is good in their own way, and everyone has a different way of doing things. Just because you don't do things the way most people do, doesn't mean you're abnormal or that something's wrong with you!

Unfortunately, you will be stopped in airports and questioned or searched more than other passengers every time. This happens to me with an Arabic name that is NOT even shared by any known terrorists. Even when you change your name to Sam, you will still be stopped if your passport is MiddleEastern. My friend Joe is a Christian Indian, but he lived in U.A.E. for a while and he visited Indonesia to help get water poor people with his Church group. This shows on his Passport. He always gets pulled aside and questioned at airports. He recently got questioned for an hour at the Canadian border. Just ignore the hate you experience from American's and try to enjoy your life.

Normal is a term to describe those who conform to the group perception of `normal`or acceptable. So preacher man Haggard is `normal`, Bush is normal (with votes to prove it), Snake-Shakers are normal, Republicans and Democrats are normal. Even you are perfectly normal, aren't you? "There is no good or bad , but THINKING makes it so."

Actually, in psychology they now use the word "typical" rather than normal. Nothing is "normal" really. There is only what is typical.
