Or am I just weird?

I don't know, if I dream that I am hurting then I wake up and my chest starts hurting too. Really hurting; like near the heart....

It's possible. I don't see how that is any different from people hearing a siren in their dreams only to wake up and find their alarm is going off. Or the time I dreamed I was drowning and couldn't breath only to wake up to find out that my covers were twisted so much around me I literally couldn't.
You need to go to a doctor to see what is wrong. The dream is simply telling you that something isn't right and you need to do something about it.

Are you sleeping odd...Maybe you are and it hurts your chest. While your asleep you are dreaming of the pain and that is the cause. Don't guess I would worry unless my left arm started hurting or I go sick to my stomach then I would go to the ER. Just probably the way you were sleeping

I hate to tell you this but, gas can cause chest pain. And, being uncomfortable during sleep causes strange dreams. You might have acid reflux. Who knows. Do you eat right before bed? Drink soda? Let your primary doctor know. People confuse gas with having a heart attack all the time.

Nothing to mess around with , depending on your age , ( and i still wouldn't let age be a factor ) would definately go to see a doctor, I have had dreams that wake me up with my cheast feeling very heavy , and it felt like i was having a hard time trying to wake up as well , so check it out !
