14k gold has a higher gold content than 10k, meaning it's more 'precious' than 10k, has a more rich, golden colour and is softer.
Gold vermeil is gold PLATED. It's usually sterling silver that's been plated with gold. Plated meaning the gold wears off and the underneath metal shows through. It's also cheaper than the 10k and 14k gold because it's not solid.

i'm not sure but I think the higher the karrot, the more gold it has, but I don't know about the gold vermeil. also the more gold it has it is less durable because the gold is softer.
