I'm really angry at one of my friends. She's been using me a lot lately, because she just broke up with her boyfriend about a week and a half ago and he was having fun without her. They just got back together a week ago, and now she won't even talk to me anymore. She'd been my best friend for years before they started dating, but as soon as they did, she ditched me to be with him all the time. I'm really angry with her, but I don't know how to tell her. What can I do?

This is so common in females and I don't know why but that's always been the case. To be honest you have to make a decision. If this friendship is affecting you and she won't listen to what you have to say you need to let her be. If you do feel however that your friendship is worth holding on which i think it is there needs to be some communication.

The fact of the matter is some things are done unconsciously and we don't even know that we're doing it. She may not know that her boyfriend back in her life is causing you to feel as if you were used. Good friends want to hear the truth so let her know and in time you'll see if your friendship is worth holding on but you have to give her a chance. Tell her how you feel.

I have two friends who are going thought this right now. I think you should probably talk to her if you are as close as you say you are and just say " We have not been hanging out that much lately. Can we maybe catch a movie on Friday? I am kinda feeling like our friendship is going down hill." If she says she is busy, just keep on trying to make a different time to spend some time. If it has been like 20 time you have tried getting arrangements, stop and let her ask you, but if she never does, I am sorry to say it but, it is over.

My best friend recently did the same thing. I went about it the complete wrong way, i emailed and called the boyfriend to ask him to have her call me, since she wasnt answering my phone calls. That pissed him off, and for like a month he and i were snapping at one another and being *****. My best friend put in the effort after that, but it caused her stress because the 2 most important people in her life were arguing. He came out for my birthday, and we talked. He was really only looking for an apology, which i gave him, and we both agreed we had been in the wrong. Explain to your friend, if you ever get ahold of her, that she is your friend and you love her, but you feel that your needs arent being met. Also explain that she needs to support you, since you support her. If she cant take her head out of his butt for a few minutes, then its her loss. You know she'll be back when it doesnt work out between them.

She probably doesn't realize that she's taking advantage of your friendship. She's so into this guy, it's all about him 24/7....which is natural. Tell her how you feel. If she is truly your friend, she will realize her mistakes and put aside you and her time. YOU need to realize that she has a love interest, and she's going to want to spend most of her time with him. It's nothing against you....let her enjoy herself, and hopefully you two can be understanding and not lose your friendship.
