why dont you write or email sinn fein, they were/are the political wing of the IRA, some of them are (ex) IRA though they will deny that.

If you have a legitimate reason, you could probably get in touch with the ex-prisoner support organisations in West Belfast.
You might find that you can contact someone who was convicted of membership, but will not admit to it.
Don't expect anyone to admit to being a current member - not to an outsider anyway.

Any serious member wouldn't want to be interviewed because it would reveal him/her and their activities. I'd suggest that anyone who offers you information is a bullshitter.
