I did the same thing, and it went through the dryer. I can't explain how it still worked, and would NOT recommend it. Not too long afterward, though it stopped working alltogether.

Mine is possessed by a Poltergeist!
I figure throw it away and buy a new one. Years ago a friend had a Pager that got wet, he had to replace it a week later, I assume a Cell be about the same. You could try removing the battery and open it best you can and spray with Electrical Cleaner (Radio Shack or Auto Parts Store) way I see this, it a loss, so, try the cleaner and if it work, great, if, it not work you would have bought another one anyway.

Our daughter got a cellphone for her 13th B-day and forgot about it being in her back pocket, when she and her brothers decided to have a water fight. It was ruined. We dried it out for a month then put the battery back in and tried to charge it, nothing happened. No lights, no beeps, no nothing.
There is really no hope for it.

Try using a hair dryer on mediuim to get the moisture out and see if it'll work then.

After that, the phone will be dead. The SIM will have survived and should work in another phone

You might start looking for a new phone. No sense of fixing it.
