its called the OLD DUKE opposite the LLANDOGER where rumour has it treasure island was written.

The pub is called The Old Duke. The pub opposite is called The Llandoger Trow.

The Old Duke, world famous jazz pub named after Duke Ellington on the corner of King Street , in Bristol city centre . Good pub , good music and good atmosphere.

I guess you must mean the old Duke, on Welsh Back? It is opposite the LLandogger Trow, which is by no means the oldest pub in Britain, but is very old and very historic (Supposedly the inspiration for Robinson Crusoe and Treasure Island!)
