What is difference between belt wax and iron wax for skis?

Is a belt wax good enough?

If you put in the extra time to hot wax it, it'll work better and the wax will last longer. Those belt/friction waxers just don't wax as well.

Iron wax contains small iron particles in the wax...I don't see a difference.

hot wax is hot. Cold wax can be used cold or warm. i prefer warm wax. a shaver works better for legs, or a depilitory cream.
