the day John Lennon fans came out to mourn,
when I heard that he was murdered, that was shocking, but when I saw on the news the droves of people that came out in places all over to mourn, that really broke me up

Another sad day was March 26 2005, the day Paul Hester Committed suicide. This means a lot to me because i thought the guy was a legend. Not for the way he played drums, but for the guy he was.

I was pretty sad when I heard Stevie Ray Vaughan had died, and also when Jeff Buckley passed. If I had been around for when Hendrix died, that would have been the worst.
These days, any time an emo song is played is pretty damn tragic.
