I really think, that if you continue to put words in someones mouth they will say exactly what it is that you want to hear. I said nothing in regards to the troops. They were lied to, as to why they were fighting. Are you old enough to volunteer then do so and GET SMART! Take it Personal. My neghbor was in the airforce and was killed by a marine. (not the enemy)

You, and people like you are sick. Our troops are doing a magnificent job and here you are, like some retread Vietnam era peacenik calling them murderers. You should be ashamed of yourself! And, by the way, the overwhelming majority of the deaths caused in Iraq are caused by insurgents, not the US Troops! No "excusses" (try spell check)? There is no excuse for the likes of you!

When you sat the Commander in Chief of the armed forces is murdering people, what do you think it implies? Get off your soapbox and start rooting for the good guys instead of talking crap about them! No "excusses"!

You seem to hate America. Gee, I wonder if you are a liberal. It's really a shame if you don't know the difference, but I'm afraid that you, and people like you, won't know the difference until terrorists kill members of your family. Then you'll get it, but probably too late.

There isn't one they are two sides of the same coin.People who know me know I hate Bush I knew he was bad for America the minute I first saw him.Just once I would love for someone to punch that guy or at least make fun of him to his face(him and his stepford wife)Suddam didn't even have anything to do with 9-11 but they went after him so he wouldn't lite up the oil wells again.Bush should be hung right beside Suddam it would be a great sight to see.

The same difference as between Clinton and Kim Jong Ill.
Both grope women and treat women like trash.

Sounds to me like you just wanted to come here and draw an inaccurate comparison without having anyone challenge you. Well, if you're REALLY saddened by what has happened in Iraq, perhaps you'll be open-minded enough to read a few things that the main-stream media has almost completely refused to address:

Saddam Hussein was STEALING from the countries of the world which were participating in a little program called Oil-for-Food. Back when Saddam decided to invade Kuwait, a coalition of countries liberated Kuwait and placed sanctions on their government. Iraqi oil would sit unpurchased until Saddam decided to play nice with the other kids.

But because of the hardships this would cause to the people of Iraq, the UN set up a program that would allow Iraq to sell some of its oil in exchange for food and medical supplies that would be provided to the citizens of Iraq.

But Saddam was greedy, and his hatred of the US, Israel and their allies drove him to develop a vile and manipulative plan. He was able to circumvent the Oil for Food program rules. He negotiated deals with various businessmen and UN officials to sell the oil and take kickbacks in the form of weapons, construction materials (for 20-some different palaces in Iraq ... why does one man need more than one palace??) and various other products which served Saddam's needs, not those of his people.

We're talking about BILLIONS of dollars here ... money that was supposed to help the Iraqi citizens, instead went into his own pockets.

Much as Saddam hated Osama bin Laden, he permitted Al Qaida to set up training grounds in Iraq. He was working on nuclear weapons but would not permit UN inspectors to see what they were doing. He preyed upon the Russian scientists who were no longer employed by the Russian government and brought them to Iraq to work on biologicial weapons.

Ask yourself: what was he planning to do with such weapons? There is no legitimate market for them, so they had to be for fighting a war that he was prepared to engage. This man ordered the torture and murder of thousands of his own people because he was afraid they'd remove him from office.

Rape rooms and torture were official policy. Have you ever been raped? with your husband and children forced to watch? Does this sound like a reasonable government to you?

President Bush did what the presidents before him SHOULD have done. He said "ENOUGH". The US and other countries sent billions of dollars to Iraq but it wasn't reaching the people. Saddam posed a threat to the US and Israel, and someone had to stop him. The brave men and women who put on the uniform of the US Military are trained to do a job. They WANT to do that job. And they understand the risks.

You need to do your homework before making statements that are inaccurate at best and inflammatory at worst. If more people paid attention to what is going on in this war and how we got to this point, if you REALLY took the time to search out the information and 'follow the money' then perhaps you'd have a leg to stand on.

Self-serving? I don't think so, but let's see: how many terrorist attacks has the world had since 9/11?

Lets see, there was the attack in Spain before the elections; the train bombings in the UK; the tragic attacks that left hundreds of school children dead in Beslan, Russia (chechnyan rebels are a branch of the Islamic Terrorists); the car bombings in France; the murder of Theo van Gogh in Amsterdam by a Muslim radical; the assassination of an Italian senior advisor by the Red Brigades; and in the US... umm... NONE!

If you're reading this in the US, you've enjoyed five years of safety from terrorist attacks on our soil, thanks to George W. Bush. You ought to get down on your knees and thank God for sending him to us. I do, every single night.

**********

You asked the question "What is the difference between them?" There is a huge difference. Saddam had his own people killed because he felt they were a threat to his dictatorship. George Bush sent people to Iraq because Saddam was a threat to global security. Saddam encouraged terrorism. He harbored and financed terrorists. Mr. Bush happens to stand behind what he says. The sad part of this entire thread is that you really believe that George Bush is of the same calibre as a murderous dictator.

Even when presented with strong arguments, you just don't get it.
