You are about to hear the opinion of a 30 year old ok? I would think he is a child molester, or he wants to make you feel good so you do something with him, I would also think about myself as....what am I doing wrong that I look older? have you consider the kind of clothes you wear? the people you hand out with? the TV shows you watch? I remember when I was 13 years old, I was still playing with dolls, I was really into school and sports, I tried to keep myself busy away from "adult stuff". You are a child only once and you have hte chance to enjoy it only once. There is nothing wrong with looking older as a young girl, it happens all the time now a days but it has a lot to do with how you dress, how you wear your hair, at that age girls are using make up and well there will be a time for that trust me, once you get older you'll see how there is a time for everything, enjoy your childhood, you don't want to be 18 and look like 40 do you? I would stay away from those guys who are telling you this things, just tell your parents, believe me, they wont get mad, they like it when you have the confidence to get close to them and let them know what is on your mind.

If I was 13 years old, I would have the thinking of a 13 year old, which means I would not be thinking very clearly or with any real wisdom, so I would p robably be flattered. But I am waaaaaay older than 13 so I know that when somebody tells a 13 year old girl that she "looks 18" (usually it will be a guy) it means that the guy is wanting her to act like18, and we all know what that means. It also tells me that he is thinking ahead, and just in case he gets found out doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing with that girl, he is getting ready to say that the girl TOLD him she w as 18.

Unfortunately 13 year olds are not able to see these things for what they are. But being much, much older, I can tell you right now, if any guy EVER starts sweet-talking you and telling you that you look 18, he's a low-life who is up to no good bigtime.

Actually I have the opposite problem. I'm 18 years old and everyone thinks I'm 13 years old. Looking older can have its perks. Just like looking younger can have its perks. However, looking older at such a young age might be bad because you might attract the wrong kind of guys. You might also be forced to quickly mature mentally. I don't know though. I hate looking younger though because everyone treats me like a little kid.

Firstly, I'd think they were trying to get into you're pants.
and 2ndly, looking older at a young age, does have its pro's and cons, pro's as you can sometimes get alcohol (ha ha) but a con as people will expect you to be as wise and mature as an 18yr old and expect you to act and think a certain way.

I think its better to look your age and to keep to a really good skincare regime,k DON@T SMOKE (gives you premature wrinkles !!) and have a good healthy diet so that when you get older (late 20's/ 30's/40's) you look younger.

I was like you......looked older when I was in my teens, but kept a good diet, don't go over board on the drink, keep a good skincare regime and have NEVER SMOKED and now I'm in my early 30's, people think I am about 22-23, Which is Great !! :)) (have even been asked for ID in shops and pubs once or twice which I suppose you could take as a complement at my age - but embarrassing for those that have asked once they found out he he!)

When I was 13 I thought that was a good thing - always a compliment to look older. Now that I AM older, its always a compliment to look younger. But being young goes by so fast, dont try to act older than you really are. You'll get there all too fast without hurrying.

Been there... I was always told I look 5-6 yrs older that what I was... As I aged, people now are shocked to find out how old I am. They tell me you don't look like you that old... I've been told in the last couple of months, What are you about 36-37? I am going on 46 yrs... So it's not a curse... Just take care of yourself and you skin....And ENJOY being 13... It goes by really really fast....

My daughter is 11 but looks 14. I took her to our GP last week about acne, and he asked her if she was on the pill. Sometimes when she acts her age she looks like an overgrown schoolgirl who has gone a bit mad! I don't think its a good thing because people seem to expect more of her. I'm also very protective of her because I notice boys checking her out whenever we go shopping. Girls these days may look older, but they still think according to thier age. I suppose all young girls want to look older, just as old girls( 30+) want to look younger!!

I was 13 and someone told me I looked like I was 24. I'm 15 now but I never really thought much of it. Looks are of no importance. Just remember you are 13 so act like it not 18.

well... I was 14 and had a 25 year old guy try to buy me a beer... i guess it would depend. if it was a guy/lesbian then i would hink that i am very good looking... if it was a straight woman then i would think that i should look at myself and see if i am dressing just a little too mature formyself....

looking older is a good and bad thing. looking older can get you into some sticky situations, where as it can help you out too (people tend to respect women more than young girls)

just be careful about how you use this double edged soward.

bad thing
if it is a man that told me that I would thing that he is trying to pick me and is using that as an excuse so he is not appear sick
but other wise if someone told me that and I use to wear maycup I would stop
I would change the way I dress and do my best to look my age
at least not 18
for a woman looking older is not a compliment
I was 30 and was being ask for ID
I am 37 now and finally made it where I am told that I am 28
