I'm like, why do you think the government raises the prices? To stop you from smoking! But it never works and people end up paying $5-$6 for a pack of cigarettes.

I think that's so funny.

I don't smoke and I never will. I don't have to worry about going broke for some cancer sticks.

What I think is that if a person work hard for his/her money then they should spend their money however they wish. The government does not raise prices to make people stop smoking, do you think they care? They do it to make money for themselves because they no that people are going to continue to smoke. So now put that in your pipe and smoke it

My opinion on that is, if a person chooses to smoke on cancer sticks, then let them and if they are willing to pay high prices for cigarettes, let them pay it, as well. The money isn't coming out of my pockets and the smoke isn't being blown, from my mouth.

You can get a descent brand where I live, for 2,00 a pack, if I had to pay $6.00 for a pack, I'd have to quit...I guess it goes to show how addicted some of us are to nicotine though...raising the prices isn't going to make people quit smoking that 's for sure.

that's very lots thinking this is US money, and the undeniable fact that this is much less in different states smacks of snobbery and greed. enormous apple is considered because of the fact the (cool) place to be, so the charges are hiked up for vacationers, even though it does not make it good, innovations you, it costs as much as seven kilos sterling for a %. in the united kingdom. That equates to around fifteen greenbacks.

I think it is ridiculous for people to pay that but after all it is their business. I don't smoke either.

I'm sure it's not to stop them from smoking ~ They just know that people are silly enough to spend that much money on it, so they make money off of them.
