It looks like some of the answerers are confusing PYROLITIC 'Self Cleaning Ovens' with 'Stay Clean Linings' which are not the same thing. There are many brands available in the UK, No converter is required!! The simply fit where a normal built in oven would, I have installed a few of these, in fact my brother got the first one I ever saw about 30 years ago, it was a Neff and cost about £700.00 at that time!!

Some brands..... http://shopping.kelkoo.co.uk/b/a/ssc_146301_self_cleaning_oven.html

Yes go to the oven shop and ask for a cooker with a self cleaning oven. The self clean part is special plates on each side of the oven. They take a little bit of space from the oven but really worth it. They are very common in the UK.

Im not sure if you'd want that- they really smell up the house when you do it lol. But Im not sure- when I was in the UK you all seemed to just have gas stoves whereas most people here have electric.
