Why is it that the whole world hates America?

OK I understand that it's the government not the people that you say are the hated. But if an american visits another country they always have to be on gaurd against some form of violence against them---kidnapping assualt and murder. an American can not go anywhere not even here in America whit out someone trying to do them some form of harm.

Three things: we think we're better than everyone else, we use our military for control and we are entirely too wasteful. We actually have contests where people roll around in jello! We have contests to see who can eat the most hotdogs??!! Hello? We've killed over 15o,ooo Iraqi citizens! Wow. Everyone knows Vietnam was bologna. It goes on and on and on. Eisenhower spoke on his farewell speech to the American people about being careful to not let Industry and the Military come together... he was warning us.......He called it the Military-Industrialization of America......he said it would ruin our country and destroy everything we've ever stood for and to not allow it to happen. Well, it has happened and only with intelligence and fortitude towards integrity will we regain our country back from these horrible horrible people. good luck everyone!

Im an American so dont get to mad at me. There are probably lots of reasons that I could name but here is just one that really gets me. When I see images of starving people all around the world on TV and then change the channel and there is a girl on there talking about how she is not thin enough, starving herself on purpose or eating a ton and then pukeing it back up...man that kills me! Only in a country this rich could people be so Brainwashed by HOLLYWOOD they would actually invent an "illness" like this. I feel bad these girls are messed up in the head but still, the rest of the world sees this to. What do you think that does to our image?

The whole world hates America, I suspect, is a bit of an exaggeration. They don't hate our money when we buy stuff from them. They don't hate our loans when we lend them money. They don't hate our medical advances or our technological advances when it gives them stuff. They don't hate us when they have a hurricane or tsunami and we drop everything and save their butts.
Some people out there might be a bit jealous but I don't suspect it is as wide spread as they say.

You should get out more, maybe actually talk to some foreign nationals yourself. Now me having talked to more than a few foreign nationals what they have told me is "Love your people, Hate your politics"

I don't believe that to be true. There are a few countries who do,
we don't need their approval for anything.
