It looks like the inside of it is dirty, so it's hard to connect.. This happened to mine as well. Take it to the electronics department, and they'll help you. But before you do that, try holding the power button for 5 seconds or so. That should help

Clean the contacts on the cartridge with some diluted isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Blowing can introduce moisture, either through spit or the moisture that's normally in your breath and over time this can (but likely wont) cause the contacts to corrode. Buy a can of compressed air from your local electronics store (like they use to clean keyboards and circuit boards) and blow that way back in the machine where the game plugs in (look for the copper "teeth").

If that doesn't work, you may need to replace the cartridge connector inside the machine. This part only costs about $10, but you do have to take the NES apart to get to the old one. Instructions can be found at http://www.classicgaming.com/features/articles/nesrepair/ and you can buy them at http://www.nintendorepairshop.com/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=43&cat=NES+Repair

I've heard of some people having luck cutting one of the pins on a "lockout chip" inside the NES, but all this would do (at least in your case) is allow a dirty game to be played, which would probably have scrambled graphics or some other problems.

Alternately, if cleaning the cartridge and system don't work and you don't want to take your system apart yourself, there are sites out there like http://www.nintendorepairshop.com/ which will repair your NES for you.

try taking a q tip and some rubbing alcohol and cleaning off the visible part of the chip in your games and the nintendo system. you should see the dirt come off on the q tip.
