Well, I used to get tired at work because I didn't get enough sleep the night before or I skipped breakfast. Now I make sure that I sleep enough and eat a good breakfast (minus the cereals with tons of sugar). Try it and see if this helps you. Take some vitamins too!

Do you get tired every day? Are you getting at least 8 hours or more of sleep each night? Are you eating breakfast? Do you have something troubling you?

Answer these questions and you may find the answer.

In the meantime, make sure you eat protein for breakfast every school day. Try not to run out of the house on an empty stomach. Eggs, bacon, yogurt, cheese, whole wheat toast, etc. will help. I know, I know, you don't have time for breakfast...right? Force yourself to get up at least 15 minutes earlier so you can do this. If you are really serious about not feeling tired in class, only you can change it.

Then, "Get to Bed" at a reasonable hour. You may think 6 or less hours of sleep is enough, but for a young person, you need a good 8 to 10 hours each night. You will be amazed at how much better you feel if you get enough sleep.

If you have something bothering you, you may not be sleeping as much as you should/could...so find someone you can talk to about what's going on. If you don't have anything bothering you... then great, that's one less reason you have to wonder about when it comes to not getting enough sleep.

If all else fails, and you don't get enough sleep and you don't have breakfast before leaving for school, take a water bottle with you and drink it straight down. Water can actually wake you when you are drowsey. And drink as much water during the day as you can if you continue to be sleepy. It will help. Good luck!
