Well...heres The deal...I'm makeing a fleece blanket for someone special...and wanted to personalise it with embroidery...Only I've never embroidered. If someone could suggest a kit, or tools with would be helpful when trying to learn, I'd be grateful.

if you want to "hand embroider" i can help a little..
use a sewing pencil to write what you want, then go over it with small stitches...kinda like cross stitch...if you want machine embroidery...call a local sewing store. there are lots of people getting machines that would love to help you.

here, we have Susan's, all about sewing, three stitches etc.
you could contact Hancocks Fabrics..i know they have classes, and they are usually beginners looking for stuff to make special.

i'm sure you could mail your item to them, and they would be glad to help. if you want something in your area...look under "uniforms"....emboridery, in the phone book.

Do a search for "learn to embroider". I learned from a website after searching it (believe it was about.com but don't remember for sure). I can show you, but I cannot explain it well so if you're in N.E. PA...
