That all depends on what is wrong with it. There are many different things you can do: play a game with him/her, take them to the park (weather permitting), read a child appropriate book to them. Use your imagination. Let them use theirs as well.

Take them somewhere special, ask her for some ideas. Dave and Busters is a great place to go and have some fun.

Make sure it isn't to bad first. Maybe take them out to a movie, have them bake cookies with you, out to a dinner, watch movies at home, do crafts, make a tent in your house with blankets and crawl around in them, go out and play, play board games, dance around, and act crazy.
