I recently lost 20 pounds. My little girl saw me in a pair of bluejeans and a spaghetti strap shirt before i put my sweater over it and said, "mama you look hot." Coming from a man it would have meant nothing but coming from my six year old it meant the world. By the way I did ask her where she heard that word and she said, "Velma on Scooby Doo."

The last thing that made me happy was when I came home from Orientation from the college I've got accepted into. My mom held a cake for me and my sister and it said "Congragulations LaTrice and Shawnae." Both of my parents were proud of us going to college and they even took us out to dinner! That always brings a smile to my face everytime I think about it.

Looking into my smiling 4 1/2 month old granddaughters eyes while she drinks her bottle. She makes everyone so happy that we can hardly contain ourselves around her. She is what makes the world feel right and good.

Chatting with my husband who has been working far from home for the last 4 weeks. I miss him like crazy and chatting with him a few hours ago made my day
