I was wondering if I got pregnant and was taking the pill ( I have skipped several ) if it would hurt the baby? My husband and I aren't trying to concieve but if it happens we don't want to hurt the baby. Should I stop taking pills? If I do, then I will have a even bigger chance of being pregnant. Please list resources.

Medically pro-long use of the pill can cause problems for the baby. If you leary about continuing on the pill you need to make an appt with you OB/GYN and discuss these issues with them. It's not worth your being stressed out over it and especially NOT worth running the chance of causing any birth defects in the baby.

Yes, it can hurt the baby. If you suspect your pregnant, you must stop taking your pill right away.
It's ok to miss a pill for 2 days, but anything more than that, you have to remember to just stop taking it all together (while using other contraception) and wait for your next period to start over.

if you think you are stop taking them and get a test done. but i know lots of people who were on the pill and didn't know they were pregnant for a while. i don't think a few weeks will hurt the baby but if you keep taking them i'm sure it will have side effects

well, i also think if you think your pregnant you should go see a doctor and see what he/she says butt your best bet is too have safe sex and stop takeing the pill till you find out. or dont have sex and dont take the pill till you see a doctor good luck and be safe...
