Hi my friend plays lots of online gaming and he is white or irish. But when someone gets him mad he always calls him the "N" word. But some people say they can trace your IP down and sue you or give you a find ect. Is this true I need to tell him the right answer. Thank you very much!

they could do that, yes. but, i cant imagine anyone playing a video game and talking trash is gonna care. those ppl probably dont even know who he is, right? so, they dont know what color he is either.

i have a black friend who uses that word all the time. everytime i see him he calls me that at least 3 or 4 times. i dont care at all. to be funny, sometimes i call him "honky". he laughs everytime. nobody seems to care as much when a black person uses the word, and if the ppl online dont know him, they might assume its a black person using the word.

i wouldnt use that word, but i think its not gonna be a big deal. besides, you can find out who someone is through their IP address, but that doesnt prove who was using the pc. he could easily say "i had a party, there were 35 ppl here, and i only knew about 20 of them".

In most circumstances you can trace peoples IP address to where the computer's internet connection is and so you could be found, all website owners can see the IP addresses of visitors to his/her website unless your friend is using a 'proxy' to hide his IP address.

However, although it is wrong, saying the 'N' word wont get you into THAT much trouble, most people only track IP's to check for fraud, hacking etc.

Hope this helps :)

Theoretically they could trace back the ip but it would be alot of effort. Firstly they would need some kind of proof that he said it like a screenshot. Except a screenshot could be edited so the authorities wouldnt accept it most likely. However they could contact either his ISP and get him fined by them or the gaming service and get his cd key banned. However the company wouldnt ban a cd key unless it was something extremely bad and then still maybe not.

it is always possible to find someone through the internet if you're good enough. Most people playing the games that are talking trash are probably not telling the truth. Yes it is possible but not likely. Just let him know its only a game and calm down a little. He'll still have fun.

historic history. Whites in the U. S. are actually not prepared approximately useing this word. maximum white human beings dont even think of roughly it much less do it. there's a tiny team of folk who nevertheless use this word. they're out in Dixie county Florida. With them it is not an obsession yet a habit- 'kinda like dipping snuff and not washing their palms till now they eat. We gladly provide their jobs to every physique speaking spanish with very sturdy manners. Manners- it is the base line.

There is no doubt you can trace an IP address... it's the easiest thing since EZ Cheez. Would they do it? You can never be sure, a lot of people are just talk.

the "N" word is good. yes they can trace your IP. but no they can not sue you. there is no law saying you cannot say the "N" word, but there are community agreements you say you will agree to, and they can say you cannot use profanity, or face consequences like lose your right to use the keycode or be booted off for a day.
