Very true. I have come across many people who claim to love all people, yet unwittingly speak in racist ways and demonstrate racist behavior. I was at a convention a few years ago where a few of us decided to go to lunch. We passed by a young Black man and the driver who was White locked the door very quickly and went into a litany with another passenger about being safe. The young man did not have any appearance or indication of being a threat.

it's probably fairly common.

today's racism is rarely as black-and-white (if you'll pardon the pun) as that of decades ago.
