This person I know is in love with another man....... She is married.
By all accounts she has a wonderful husband. Kids. Good job. Car. Home that is paid for. Her husband thinks she is the greatest woman around. But what do I do if she is always obsessing over this one gentleman thats not her husband. Do I tell her husband. As far as I know she hasnt been with him but I think she is coming close and is going to ruin the greatest thing in her life. Do I tell or just sit back and watch her ruin her marriage????

Sounds like this man is a real catch. I have a husband like that and I feel the same way about him. I could never cheat on him and vice - versa but enough about me, now let's get to your delema. Chances are, he's not going to believe you because like you said, he thinks she is the greatest woman around. Don't tell him. Show her what is in front of her.

you hit the nail right on the head,,do i sit back and watch her ruin HER marriage,,it awful when you can see a friend doing something that cannot end well but really,,what can you do,,it really doesnt effect you,,she is a grown up and will make mistakes but they will be hers,,,dont tell the husband as she may never do anything with this other man and you could end up the reason he leaves her,,where Will that leave you? tell her you dont agree with her choices,,tell her she will get caught,,tell her she is throwing away everything and for what,,,what may amount to nothing more than a cheap fumble,,as long as you are her friend all you can do is be there,,it is her life and she has to take responsibility for it.

You should not tell her husband about her behavior. Since you call her "a friend" your job is to talk to her and help her see that the grass is not always greener on the other side. Other than that, leave it up to her to ruin her own marriage. Stay out of their marriage.

We all concur that you shouldn't tell the husband. If you talk to him then you make a reality in his mind what may or may not happen. I suggest you talk to your friend. Tell her that her marriage needs attention if it's to prosper. She has problems respecting the importance of marriage. Try to help her understand what marriage means and why she doesn't respect it. There is a problem with her way of looking at marriage, try to help her solve it. Other then that you have done all you as a friend can do. It's her life to live and learn.

I feel for you and her both. This is a tough situation to be in. Hopefully it is just fantasy and it will go no further than that! But I would suggest talking to her and maybe recommend a family councilor. Even the best of marriages need help staying on the right track sometimes!

Its not your place to tell her husband. Tell this STUPID woman how stupid she is and dump her as a friend. Don't lower yourself by hanging out with such drama. I personally would tell this guy she likes that she has already cheated on her husband 10 times with 10 different guys and has an STD that even her husband doesn' know about.

Try to talk some sense into HER.
It's not your place to tell her hubby, and it will only ruin your friendship.
Try to point out what she has to lose if she continues on this DANGEROUS path. That's really all you can do!
Or. if the other MAN is married, a little anonymous suggestion in that direction may stop this train wreck!

This one is tough...I would at first confront her...tell her your feelings concerning her possible mistake...but by no means don't tell her husband..it will back fire and you will be labeled as nothing no more than a trouble maker with a hidden agenda.

I think she knows what she is doing. Regardless the fact she is about to make a mistake, I think you shall not tell her anything unless she asks for your opinion. If you say it right now, she will just think about you bad, even if you are right.
