I personally believe that under certain circumstances abortions are completely justifiable. I think it is silly of people to say that its murder. What really bothers me however is when those same people turn around and say negative things about how a mother treats her children or say how mean it is that a mother cant feed her children and she should not have become pregnant. Everyone makes mistakes but I dont think the baby should be punished for the mothers mistake. If you cant take care of your baby I think it is selfish to keep it. That unborn child doesnt deserve to have to live its life unhappy or hungry and if your boyfriend or husband is violent, that baby doesnt deserve to be hurt. Also, if you are just 14 or 15 years old and you are raped and become pregnant dont you think you would want the chance to have a life. It is not your fault that you are pregnant and by having that baby your whole life could be ruined. If you dont believe in abortion then fine, but dont tell other people to throw away their own lives because its not something you believe in.

It doesn't have to be justified. If you don't want a baby, don't have one, it's as simple as that!!!! Having an abortion is no different than wearing a condom or not having sex at all. THE OUTCOME is the same. So this issue is really not an issue, people just aren't logical and don't know what the concept of space is. Meaning that there is no difference between an egg and a sperm not touching or them being a centimeter apart. It's all about chance NOT murder.

It depends solely on your morals. Personally, I do not believe it is ok in any circumstance, even if the mother's health is at risk. Being that I believe Christ makes every living being, I also believe that He can see through what he started in the way he intended w/o humans messing with it. God specifically says not to murder in the 10 commandments, and killing an unborn baby is murder. Therefore, I really don't believe there should be any exceptions. Some people will argue that if the mother's health is at risk it is ok, but I don't agree with that. I also don't think it is Ok if the baby will have some kind of mental disorder, or something along those lines either. God can still use handicapped people. So basically, i don't believe there is any justification for it ever.

Yes.

Unlike the Catholic Church's stance that "life begins as the sperm and the egg unites - and therefore any interference after that is prohibited", I think abortion is justifiable in certain situations -

1. When the mother's life is in danger with a significantly high probability of death
2. When the baby's life is in danger with a significantly high probability of death during his/her early years, or when there is a high probability of the baby being mentally challenged and incapacitated and will find it a challenge to integrate with society
3. When the pregnancy is due to rape or unconsenting circumstances

Yes. There was a 15 yo posting here a couple of weeks ago. She was pregnant and didn't want the baby. Her parents wouldn't let her get an abortion. She was trying to kill it herself when her parents weren't around.
When abortions were illegal, rich women could still get them but poor women went to butchers who used poisons or coat hangers. Do you want to return to that? Or the baby put in a plastic bag to die?

YES! IF WOMEN USE THEM AS BIRTH CONTROL OR DON'T TRY OTHER WAYS FROM GETTING PREGNANT AND THINKS ABORTIONS ARE THE ANSWER THEY ARE WRONG, IT IS NOT THAT LITTLE BABY'S FAULT YOU CAN GIVE IT UP FOR ADOPTION. NO, IF YOU WERE RAPED , INCEST, OR IF THE MOTHER OR THE CHILD OR IN DANGER OR HAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THEM! I THINK THEY ARE JUSTIFIED!

this is a very touchy subject and it all boils down to what the individual person's beliefs are. Personally, for me, no, because I believe if God allows a woman to become pregnant, then He has a purpose for that life, but each person has to decide for themselves.
