This ones a little scary! By the looks of your intellectual level, I sure hope that youngster is out of diapers!

From my point of view, a child should have reached double digits before being left alone. Children do strange things when left alone, usually out of fear. Most normal kids, by the time they're ten, could probably survive short term isolation.

You do not say why you have got to go away her house on my own in a single day in the future every week. Is it task similar? If it's, is there any individual, a realative, or pal she will be able to stick with? I have raised two kids of my possess and five stepchildren. I in no way left any of them alongside in a single day. It wasn't on the grounds that I did not suppose they could not be relied on. It was once on the grounds that of all of the different "what if's" my creativeness got here up with. What if, the apartment stuck on fireplace? What if, any individual broke into my house even as I was once long past? What if, the baby grew to be unwell? What if, there was once an emergency and the baby was once no longer historical ample to force themselves a few wherein for aid? The international isn't a riskless situation this present day. It's now not an issue of trusting your kids, it is a topic of trusting destiny, and all the ones different humans available in the market who do not deliver a **** approximately what occurs in your kids. I say no. Don't go away them unsupervised.

I'm believe it is legal in Texas around the age of 12 or 13 to leave your child home alone for short periods by themselves.

In WA state it's 8 yrs old I believe. I think it really depends on the child some children are not ready that early! I think it's important that they know to call 911 in an emergency and that they can make something simple to eat on their own. You know your child best and if they are prepared for an hour alone!

You have to look at the kid and how mature he/she is or isn't. I think 12 or 13 is pretty reasonable...but not for an extended amount of time like say an 8 hour shift or anything.

In today's world it is not safe to leave a child alone, at any age. If you care about your child, make arrangements for a baby sitter.
