I want to start doing criminal backround investigations on new hires. Does anyone know of software or a good company that can find info on candidates? I want to know who is really working in my company.

I'll tell you who's working in your company--Charles Manson and Osama bin Laden! Google your state and add the words "felony offender database" or something of that nature and you're bound to find free databases of info.

Pro Detective.com is pretty good, BUT, obtaining a private investigator's license is best. This will allow you to gain access into records that are hard to obtain, as well as credit information, medical records, and civil records.
