I have to do a sales speech for school. All of the people are doing funny things like quesadilla makers, and are demonstrating in front of the class. I have nothing. I want it to be a funny/clever idea, and one I can elaborate on for a 3 minute speech. Any speech ideas?

If you want to captivate your audience with something really breath taking, what is essential for you is the entry and the introduction to your product. You could definitely check on youtube for some idea but it might cost you a century before finding what would really judge as interesting and, above all, FEASIBLE! What I'd suggest is to start with;

1. a joke about how your product made something unbelievable

2. some facts about your product

3. a theatre piece about how a greek/egyptian divinity or royalty once was about to expire due to the scarcity of your product

4. you could also try to make your presentation in note form and while you progress in your attempt to seduce your audience in marketing your product, you make a scatter chart of the ideas you elaborate. That is as soon as you present another idea, you add a component to your chart... On and on and the final scatter chart as a whole would look as the product. Example; you are marketing a new cool brand of T-Shirts, the final scatter chart on the whole looks like a T-Shirt made with "puzzles" of its components!

5. You start in a deliberately boring manner while you are very very cautious not to mention the name of your product... and all of a sudden, you announce in a higher tone "so guys, you saw how other sales representatives of this type of product are... thats because WE have the best in this field!!! Indeed.... "and you carry on.

A million ways to do it... simply require some immagination and uh yeah, you did well to try to ask the world about some new ideas as the opinion of the market is always important to the seller ;-) cheers guy! im much confident you can now make for it... feel free to mail me and IM me ... but a bit later though see ya around!

why don't you look up Ron Popeil on www.youtube.com and watch some of the infomercials that come up. He is the master of hilarious sales gimmicks: "It slices, it dices, it julienne's fries, today it's only $19.95. But wait, if you call now, we'll throw in this paint scraper and pocket fisherman... and there's more, you can have all this for NOT $19.95, but only $9.95 if you call in the next 5 minutes" The thing that makes these funny is the speed of the talk about the product and the insanity of giving away a million items for almost no money. Check it out. Good luck.
