You can find 10 lbs if you look hard enough. I never get one over 12 anyway. And just as a suggestion....always buy fresh and never frozen. Can find them a couple days beforehand usually. Good Luck!

Stores sell small HEN Turkeys. Most Turkey weights start at 10 pounds........Cost wise: you would be spending more for a Turkey Breast at $1.99 a pound versus 39 or even 69 cents per pound for a regular whole Turkey. And you can always freeze extra leftovers if you don't plan on making soup.
A Smart Shopper would buy what's on Sale!

Leftover turkey makes wonderful soup, and it keeps for a long time in the fridge or freezer.
But if you want a smaller bird, maybe you should use a chicken -- there's no rule against it -- or a couple of Cornish hens for something a little different and just as tasty.

Higher-end stores sometimes sell smaller ones. I've gotten a 5LBer from Highland Farms in the Toronto area (Canada). You could also check with your local butcher, and if they don't have one that small, they should be willing to cut a 10LBer in half for you and vac-pack it. Then, you freeze half, and have it at Christmas or whenever.

If you cannot find a small enough turkey, you could always cook a larger one, but not eat it all at once.
What you don't eat immediately, you could slice up, wrap in cling film, freeze, and eat when it is convenient for you.

They have 12 pound birds, and that only has about 8 pounds of meat. You can buy just the breast and turkey rolls. The rolls are great. I bet you have a hard time with hams, too.

Instead of turkey, have you thought about a roasting hen. (chicken), My family rather have the roasted chicken than a turkey any thanksgiving. You fix it just like a turkey, but it is smaller and in my opinion better because you do not have all those leftovers.

Donate the big turkey to a local needy family or church & go buy a turkey breast for your family. Turkey breasts come in smaller sizes. Hope this helps!

Do you mean small as in stature or number?
You see,I live with permanent dwarfism and so does
my wife.
As little folks,We always get a twenty pounder
and we eat most of it.We freeze he rest.
Our normal sized friends are always amazed at our voracious appetites during the holidays!
We have even taken to wearing elf hats at Christmastime and sending out our own postcards
of me chewing my wife's ham arm.
