Get in touch with your local Cancer Society..they always have funds to help the genuine needy...I know you are having a rough time at the moment but as you have children try to be a little more cheerful for them...being miserable wont change anything..I know this is much easier said than done...I will remember you and your family in my prayers good luck for the future.

I'm sorry for your sorrows. Luckily this is America and you have some choices. You can work. If you are not able to work and you have put in your fair share into taxes over time then you can apply for financial and medical help. Most states have state medicaid systems in place to help you with shelter, food, health care and clothing. There are an abundance of food pantries and organizations who help people fallen on hard times. You can let your church or even the children's school know that you are in a situation where you need assistance.

Or if you are not American, you can simply go back to where you came from and take advantage of the assistance you have there. Its all about choices. Good luck to you and your family.

Many cities have social services available. They will hook you up with Christmas meals, and presents.

Also if you ask a tree vendor and explain your situation on Christmas eve they will probably let you have a leftover one. My mother was sick one year and I did that. Usually they do not want to drag them all back anyways and they are pretty useless to have otherwise.

If you have a car go ask a resident in the country if you can cut down one of there's if they have a small tree you can cut down.

Many people are filled with Christmas spirit and are willing to help if you ask.

Never be to proud to ask for help. Go to your church for food, clothing and toys, your city or village may have a medical and clothes closet, apply for food stamps/grants, go to the utilities and apply for their assistance program, apply to the cancer foundation for grants, our state has a Circuit Breaker program that pays for part of the drugs if you qualify financially, for school fees apply to the school district (they can grant tuition, breakfast and lunches, along with school supplies). As you might have guess, been there done that. good luck.
