OK... supposedly, my ex told me we broke up July 16th ( well, this is the date she said... so.. i am assuming she was correct) So anywho... after like, 2 months, she starts callin me, and saying she loves me, and wants to be with me... so.. I am all happy and excitied... so.. we hang out, and then, a few days later... she calls me, and tells me she is pregnant... now, she did start dating this other guy like, a week after we split up. So, like, 99.999% the baby is his... well.. she was always trying to give me false hope it was mine... I went to the doctor's with her like, 2 weeks ago or so, and they gave her one of those Ovulation Calendars or whatever, and going back from her Due date, it puts her pregnancy at August 15, well, her conception or whatever... now... that is basically a month after we broke up... and, right before we broke up, I did kind of... release in her and all... well... what arethe chances that the Conception date is wrong, and the baby could be mine? Thanks!

EDIT AFTER FIRST 4 REPLIES: Well.. I asked her to get a DNA test, but, there is the fact that it's kind of a risky procedure, isn't it? And, I will probably have to wait until the baby is born regardless, but, it'd just be more comforting knowing 100% if it's mine or not, and if it's mine, I'd enjoy it a lot more lol...

That depends oin whether or not she gave the correct date for her last period! If she's pretty accurate on her dates (as far as her period goes), then her conception date could be correct and the baby might not be yours. There is always a possibility though, if you have unprotected sex. When she has her first ultrasound, the docs can measure the size of her uterus and it will tell how far along she is +/- two days. That will give you a better idea of the date of conception. Here's how you can figure it out without a calender (with accurate dates): Start with First Day of Last Period, add seven days and 1 year, then subtract 3 months. This will give you an EDD (Estimated Due Date) usually +/- 2 days. Also, If you have the First Day of Last Period (LMP) then you can assume conception at about 2 weeks after this day. Hope this helps!

It sounds like it is not yours. If you were the father by Aug the 15th she would have 4 weeks of pregnancy and she didn't get pregnant until Aug 15th. Now, some doctors take the conception date as the date of your last menstrual cycle, so Aug 15th would've been her last mensttrual cycle, so you would definitely not be the dad, and even if Aug 15th was her ovulation day, you were not with her right? so you did not eyaculate inside of her around the 15th of aug right? so you could not have gotten her pregnant. That is IF indeed you guys broke up around July 16th. That gives you a window of a whole month! so you could not be the dad. She just probably wants to blame it on you since she probably knows the other dude who is more likely to be the dad might be a looser. If I were you, I would have her done a paternity test as soon as the baby is born so she doesn't make you pay for child support or she makes you marry her, do not raise other people's kids alright! Good luck.

well, it could still be yours. when determining due date based on menstrual cycle, it is never completely accurate. when they determine a due date, they give you a month window (2 weeks before and 2 weeks after that date) that's considered normal full term pregnancy. this is because, based on menstrual cycle and last period, no one knows the exact day the baby was conceived, unless the mom only had sex once during that time. okay...now, another problem with guessing based on cycle is, after a woman gets pregnant, it is still possible for her to have a period. it's usually light, maybe spotting and not really bleeding but i've heard it can seem like a normal period even though she is pregnant. my advice to you is to have a test done.

the baby could be yours... it could not be yours. if i were you i would think long and hard about it.... but if you are going to get a paternity test done, do it when the baby is a baby before the baby bonds with you- especially if it is not yours, you don;t want it. (that happened to my little cousin... he was 9 and they finally did the test and the "dad" wasn't the dad and he split... pooor kid was heart broken)

Just wait for the baby. Do a DNA test and confirm it.

There is something called DNA... have you heard of it? It is amazing...

They might be able to tell you as well with a sonogram (by measuring the baby)
