prime your trap. ( pour water down it) If your fridge has a ice maker, that means there is a drain ....swo it might be sewer gas excaping.

You are describing ammonia, but I cannot think of a source if it came only from your fridge.
Do you have a reasonably newer fridge? All the elements that cools it down dont smell anything like ammonia at all. Is there a different vent in that area? Try moving it away from that area. Leave some space between the wall and it.

you could have someone come in and deodorize your vents in the house. if you have had animals they can pee, and even after you clean it up it can still get to the floor boards under the tile. try saturating the area with a urine neutralizer. you can purchase this at the pet store. could it possibly be something in the fridge itself?

It could be many things. Perhaps some food or liquid that spilled there. It could be a large bug or small rodent that died there. You should try to get the vent open and clean it out. If you can't do that, you will have to move your refrigerator to get to the back of it to open it up.

if the smell is coming from inside your fridge then put a box of baking soda in there to absorb the odors

How old is your refrigerator? Some of the old `absorption` types had ammonia in the pipes , could be this escaping.
