ahh yes, by the way what are the laws like where you live, cause here if one time you are hit and your children are on the premises the state will take the kids away it's physcologically damaging to watch a parent take abuse, dear GOD it's 2006 why do women or men for that matter still put up with this ****, like life isn't hard enough already. Get out now! You must stand up for your kids if you can't stand up for yourself, they count on you for protection, and evidently you aren't able to protect them is say he knocks you out cold or hey kills you. Get a grip, pull yourself up by your bootstraps and get the hell out of there.

Anytime someone hits you its considered abuse. Even if its only two times a years. In the U.S.A they do have shelters for people in abusive relationships. I'm not sure about the other country's.

It's abusive if he even THREATENS to hit you EVER! It's abusive behavior to call names, to break items etc.
Please consider getting some help from family, friends, or even a women's shelter if need be and get out.
Trust me,speaking from experience it will only get worse! The thing that made me run like hell from abusive relationships is that I knew in my heart that one day this person would abuse my child. It was bad enough for me to EVEN consider letting someone treat me that way but my daughter.............that WAS not going to happen!
My ex put his hands on my one time and ONE TIME only! I had divorce papers written up within' 2 weeks and told him in NO uncertain terms that if he EVER put his hands on my again I would certainly kill him!
Please take care, consider getting some support and help and God bless!

Even if he only hit you once (or even laid a finger on you) it is abuse.
But if he brakes thing or hits a wall that really isn't abuse, maybe to the vase or wall, but not to you. If it was your wall or vase then it could be abuse and you could sue him for damaging your property............

My friend...
If someone that claims to love you, then they have no reason to EVER want to physically hurt you, I don't care if it is once every 5 years! If he is breaking things and hitting walls, then at least he is finding other ways of getting rid of his anger, rather than going upside your head, but even still, there seems to be some definite anger issues with this person...so if the relationship, you feel is worth fighting for, you two need to get some help. The alternative, for you, is to say..bye bye!

it is ABUSE. this is a very serious matter, if you are going to just taking the beating from him, you are not standing up for your rights. I think you should call the cops on him. He should not hit or abuse your rights ever. take care.

If he even threatened to hit you only once that is abuse. Sounds to me like he has some anger management issues and needs to seek help....leave in the process. You deserve better!

No relationship is worth physical abuse. If the guy loved you then he wouldn't put his hands on you. Simple as that
