So far, I have tried Mr. Clean and something called Aquascrub, both with limited success. Obviously, it will be best to use a sponge or soft cloth on the glass surface rather than a scouring pad!

I too, have a smooth top black stove and I use a polishing creme especially made for smooth top stoves. First you use a scraper to get off any dried or burnt on substances and then you use the creme. It cleans the grease off and shines really good It looks like new when I get done. You can purchase this at any Wal-mart or where you purchased your stove. Good Luck!!

Bren gave you the best answer, you need to use a special cleaner polisher made for the glass range top..

I use Formula 409 and an old towel to clean it. It looks like new after a year of constant use.

I use Simple Green and it not only cleans well, it really is a great grease cutter. Softscrub works if you use it daily.
Good Luck

My black stove.Yes they sure show the grease and dirt. After cooking i wash mine just with the dish rag.And once i get the dirt and grease off i spray it with windex.Surely you have windex around,It looks great.Nothing extra to buy you should have it already.
