I would assume most states are similar in these regulations. You could most likely check out your local BMV or check your state's website. I personally got my class D operator's license when I turned 16, and then got my class B CDL when I was 19. I wasn't told of any rules about how long you have to wait, but I do know that I still have my K1 restriction meaning I can't drive a CDL truck out of the state of Ohio until I turn 21.

Most states require you to be at least 21 years old, some trucking companies
won't hire you unless you were are older than 24 regardless of experience.
